SENIOR THERAPIST
Elena Offerman, LCAT, RDT, is a licensed creative arts therapist and registered drama therapist who works with adults, teens, children, and couples. She views building trust in the therapeutic relationship as essential to supporting clients on their journey to fulfillment and well-being. Her approach is trauma-informed, relational, culturally responsive, and affirming.
Elena specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, identity development, relationship concerns, and LGBTQIA+ issues. She incorporates verbal psychotherapy, creative arts, somatic practices, and EMDR to create individualized care that is tailored to each client’s needs, strengths, and interests. Her clinical style is warm, playful, and curious.
Elena received her master’s degree in Drama Therapy from New York University, where she has also guest lectured. She is a graduate of the Kint Institute’s certificate program in the arts and trauma treatment, and is an EMDR trained therapist. Elena has presented nationally and internationally on her clinical work with frontline healthcare workers and LGBTQIA+ communities. She has published on her drama therapy work supporting frontline healthcare workers during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
