Kristin Long
CO-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Kristin Long, DPsa, RDT/BCT, LCAT, LP, is co-founder and co-director of Harris and Long Psychotherapy. She has a full-time private practice in New York City working with children, adolescents, families, and adults.
She is a faculty member and supervisor at The Institute for Expressive Analysis in New York City where she teaches classes on the therapeutic use of the body and Expressive Analysis with children and adolescents, and at New York University where she teaches a class on Projective Techniques. Dr. Long is also a Fellow at The Parkmore Institute, where she received her doctorate in Psychoanalytic Studies. Having completed her EMDR training at the Parnell Institute, she has a specific interest in the non-verbal transmission of intergenerational trauma. She has presented nationally and internationally on the importance of attunement within relational dyads, specifically around parent/infant treatments. Dr. Long has also taught at various conferences on ways to incorporate creative arts into traditional psychotherapy spaces.
